Services
Understand the business first. Then build what it needs.
Most of our work starts with advice, looking closely at how the business runs, and continues with the tools that put the answer into practice. Everything is scoped in writing, built around how you already work, and handed over so your team can carry on without us.
I
Business & innovation consulting
Often the problem isn't a missing tool. It's the process, the priorities or the next step. When you're inside the business every day, it's hard to step back far enough to see it.
We bring an outside view: we look closely at how the work actually gets done, ask the questions nobody has had time to ask, and give you a clear, prioritised answer in plain language.
What this isn't
We don't give financial, tax, legal, insurance or investment advice. Where you need it, we'll tell you so and suggest you speak to a qualified professional.
Typical work
- Mapping how work moves through the business: who does what, in what order, and where it stalls
- Finding where time and money leak: duplicated effort, manual re-capturing, steps that exist only out of habit
- Simplifying a process before anything is automated, so you don't automate a mess
- Finding and weighing opportunities: new services, new channels, better use of what you already have
- Testing a new idea small and cheaply before committing to it
- The basics of your digital presence: website, search listings, how customers find and contact you
What you get
- A short written review of what we found, in plain language
- A prioritised plan: what to fix first, what can wait, and what to stop doing
- A clear view of which steps need a tool and which just need a better habit
A good fit if
You know something isn't working as well as it should, or you have an idea you haven't had time to think through properly.
II
Automation & custom tools
Many small businesses run on a mix of spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages, paper and memory. That works until it doesn't.
Once the process is clear, we build small, focused tools that remove one specific piece of repeat work, and that your staff will actually use. No large software project, no generic package you have to bend the business around.
Recent project
We designed and built a custom inventory system for a local coffee shop, using AI where it helped, and shaped it around how that shop buys, stores and uses its stock rather than forcing it into a generic package. It's the kind of work we're set up for: specific, practical, and small enough to deliver properly.
Typical work
- Stock and inventory tracking
- Online intake, booking or order forms that land in one place
- Quotes, letters and reports generated from templates
- Connecting the tools you already use, so information is captured once
- Simple dashboards and weekly summaries
What you get
- A working tool, tested on your real work
- A short written guide and training for the people who'll use it
- Accounts and files in your business's name, documented so another developer could pick it up
A good fit if
There's a task someone in your business does every day or every week that follows the same steps each time.
III
Tool setup & training
Many businesses already pay for software they only half use. We help you choose what you actually need, set it up properly and teach your team to use it well.
That includes AI assistants such as Claude where they genuinely save time on drafting, summarising and admin, and only where they do.
For PAs and office professionals
One-on-one setup and training focused on the work you do every day: inbox, diary, minutes, correspondence and documents.
Typical work
- Reviewing the software you pay for: what to keep, what to drop, what's missing
- Setting up accounts, sensible privacy settings and access for each person
- Templates for recurring work: client letters, meeting notes, quotes, follow-ups
- Hands-on training using your team's real work, not generic demonstrations
- A short written policy on what information may go into online and AI tools
Support afterwards
A helpline for when something doesn't behave, and check-ins to keep your setup current as the tools change.
Scope & fees
Quoted in writing, every time.
Every engagement is different, so we don't publish a price list. After a first conversation you'll get a written proposal with the scope, timeline and cost. Nothing is billed that you haven't agreed to.
What we don't do
- Financial, insurance, investment, tax or legal advice
- Lock you into our accounts or software
- Sell you a large project when a small one will do
- Promise results we can't measure
Next step
Not sure which you need?
That's normal. Tell us what's taking up your time and we'll suggest where to start.
