Business advisory & custom systems · Western Cape

Clearer thinking and better systems for small businesses.

We help owners see where the business is losing time and money, fix the way the work gets done, and build the simple tools that keep it fixed. Practical, plainly explained, and looked after once it's live.

Who we work with

For small teams that carry a lot.

If the same few people answer the email, chase the invoices, update the spreadsheet and still run the business, you're who we built this for.

  • Owner-run businesses

Where the owner is also the admin department, and every hour spent on paperwork is an hour not spent with customers.

  • Personal assistants and office professionals

People who manage inboxes, diaries, minutes and documents for others, and want the repetitive drafting, scheduling and filing handled by better tools.

  • Professional practices

Small firms with a steady flow of letters, proposals, reports and client follow-ups that look the same each time.

  • Shops, cafés and service businesses

Businesses still tracking stock, bookings or orders on paper, in notebooks or across several spreadsheets.

What we do

Three ways we help.

Start with one and add another later. Most work begins with a simple question: where does your team's time actually go?

Business & innovation consulting

An outside view on how the business runs: where time and money leak, which processes break under pressure, and which opportunities are worth pursuing first.

Automation & custom tools

Small, well-built tools that remove repeat work: stock tracking, intake forms, document templates and simple reporting, built around the way your business already runs.

Tool setup & training

Getting the most from the software you have or need, including AI assistants where they genuinely help. Set up properly, taught with your team's real work, and supported afterwards.

How we work

A short, clear method.

No large upfront project. We start small, agree everything in writing and measure whether it worked.

  1. Understand

A conversation and a close look at how the work actually gets done today: the tools, the steps, the bottlenecks.

  2. Scope

A written proposal: what we'll do, what we won't, what it costs and how we'll both know it worked.

  3. Build & train

We set it up, test it on your real work, and train the people who'll use it until they're comfortable.

  4. Support & refine

A helpline for questions once you're live, and regular check-ins to adjust what isn't earning its place.

More on our approach

Why Edelstein Group

A new firm, and straightforward about it.

We don't have a wall of logos yet. What we can offer is a careful method, a clear scope, and the founder's attention on your work from start to finish.

You deal with the founder

The person you speak to first is the person who does the work, trains your team and answers the helpline.

Scope in writing, before work starts

You'll know what's included, what isn't and what it costs before you commit to anything.

Careful with information

Years in regulated financial services taught us to treat client information with care. We set tools up with privacy in mind and tell you plainly what goes where.

Your accounts, your tools

Software accounts are set up in your business's name and documented, so you're never dependent on us to get at your own data.

Plain language, in English or Afrikaans

No jargon. Training and support in whichever language your team is most comfortable with.

Measured against your time

We aim for outcomes you can feel, such as one less hour of admin a day, and we check whether we got there.

Edelstein is German for gemstone. A stone is valued for its clarity and its cut, and what's taken away matters as much as what remains. We approach your systems the same way.

A note from the founder

Why I started Edelstein Group.

I spent three and a half years in regulated financial advisory, then built websites and, most recently, a custom inventory system for a local coffee shop. Across all of it I kept seeing the same thing: capable people losing hours to processes nobody had stepped back to look at.

Most small businesses don't need a large consultancy or an expensive software package. They need someone to look closely at how the work actually gets done, fix what's broken, and build the few tools that make the difference. That's the job I've set Edelstein Group up to do.
